Your Eminence,

With great sadness in Our heart We were aware of the departure of His Holiness Pavle, Patriarch of Serbia, after a long period of serious illness.

Living closely the great convulsions of the Twentieth Century (born at the 1st World War, he crossed the 2nd World War, where the ancient Yugoslavia suffered tremendously and painfully at the hands of the Nazis), this holy man of God suffered not less dramatically in the last two decades of His long life, already while Patriarch, with the Kozovo’s War, which, besides the division in several States of the ancient Yugoslavia, and the destruction caused by the war, brought upon our Orthodox Church selective and massive destruction of churches, monasteries, etc. and persecution of the Serbian Orthodox people.

We also underline the posture of this Great Man of Church, lucid, zealous, patient and peace-worker Arch-Pastor, a strong Head of his Church, who was His Holiness Pavle, of Blessed Memory.

The Serbian people and all the Orthodox Church lost a Brave Primate… another Hero of the Orthodoxy departed from his People, but surely, he stands before Our Lord Jesus Christ, now as a good Father and Friend, continuing to be close and helping his own people.

We assure Your Eminence of our prayers in our monasteries and parishes for His Holiness the Patriarch Pavle.
Beeseching Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to always continue spreading all His divine Blessings above the Holy Church of Serbia, asking Your holy prayers,

With Our Love in Christ,
